A Game Called Backgammon

Backgammon has been a popular game for many, many years.  This is a game that requires skill and along with some luck, it is an exciting game to play. If you want to win, you must risk, like any game.  Playing safe is not a good way to play Backgammon.

Here are a few important points or tips that could help your game.  The forth and fifth bar on each side of the board are important so try for these first.  If you can hold them early, you will be better off.   If you happen to be ahead in the game, then it is time to race and the faster the better.  Run for your home board and watch that your opponent doesn’t get to hit your checkers.
This is not a timed game, so take some time to think.  One strategy is to close the gaps of your checkers by using all numbers instead of moving checkers.

If you opponent doubles the stakes, don’t get alarmed because your turn will come and you can redouble.  There is still a chance for you to win the game especially if your opponent uses anchors.   If you have prepared yourself well, you will be ready for any move your opponent makes.
